Is That It?

I like a proper ending.

I hate it when the credits appear on the screen and I think “What? Did I miss something?”

It’s the same when I’m expecting another chapter in the book. I don’t care if it’s not the ending I want. I’d just like to know. Don’t make me decide.

Or I realise I haven’t read a favourite blog for a while and check it out. The last post is still there, bright and chirpy with no hint that there won’t be another. Weeks turn to months and there’s still no update. I start to wonder if something terrible has happened. Or something wonderful. Where have they gone? Are they coming back?

So, let there be no ambiguity. This is the last post on Life in Mud Spattered Boots.

Why? There are many reasons but mainly it’s because there are other things I’d rather be doing. Nothing dramatic. Or calamitous. It’s simply run its course.

Thanks for your company over the years. It’s been fun.
